- A Throne Reforged: Dark Prince Jeor Knight Passes the Mantle to Thrall Lothbrokby Thrall Lothbrok on May 1, 2025 at 11:38
In a formal declaration from the highest levels of Black Sun government, Dark Prince Jeor Knight has announced his abdication, bringing to a close the longest and most consequential reign in Black Sun history. His chosen successor, Vigo Thrall Lothbrok, has been named the twenty-second leader of Black Sun and now assumes full command. Prince Knight’s rule began on Year 17 Day 98. For over nine years, he presided over a period of exceptional expansion and stability. Under his leadership, Black Sun widened its borders, deepened its coffers, and solidified its standing as a central power in the galaxy. Once burdened by the weight of its distant past, the government emerged as a respected and legitimate force in the Imperial Union, with Knight at the helm of that transformation. His administration brought consistency, clarity of purpose, and the firm assertion of Black Sun’s role in the galactic order. Following his abdication, he will continue to serve Black Sun on the Family Council as an advisory Vigo. In his final address as Dark Prince, Jeor Knight stated: “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as Dark Prince. I took up this position over nine years ago with a simple goal: to make Black Sun shine as brightly as possible. Through hard work, a sincere heart, and a loyal Family by my side, we outshone even my highest hopes and dreams. I can honestly say that the Black Sun I leave behind is in a far stronger position than when I took the throne. We have become a military juggernaut, an economic powerhouse, and a moral leader. Stepping down was not an easy decision, but I believe it is the right one. Leadership must evolve, and when a group becomes too comfortable, it risks stagnation. The demands of a galaxy in constant flux and the looming escalation of the Galactic Civil War require active leadership and fresh ideas. I look forward to continuing to serve Black Sun as a Vigo and enjoying my well-earned retirement… and the occasional bingo night. The government is in very capable hands with Dark Prince Lothbrok and Primogen Morbus.” Dark Prince Thrall Lothbrok now ascends to the throne with the full support of the Family Council. Currently serving as an advisory Vigo, Lothbrok previously held key leadership roles as Vigo of Defense and Vigo of Industry. Throughout his tenure, he has earned a reputation for strategic discipline, institutional knowledge, and unwavering loyalty to the Family. His experience across multiple sectors of the government places him in a rare position to lead with both vision and precision. “We stand now on the precipice of a new dawn. Under Dark Prince Knight, we have enjoyed a golden age of expansion, victory, and profit. The greed of the past is long gone, as the torch passes peacefully toward a brighter future. Our critics see decadence and call it barbarism. They brand us as criminals, ignoring the legitimate reforms that have propelled our rise. These same voices now turn on one another, fractured and desperate, resorting to piracy, murder, and terrorism. Yet Black Sun stands united, a single collective working diligently toward a common goal of order, peace, and prosperity. A family that enjoys the benefits of luxury and wealth earned through such dedicated work. As an executive member of the Imperial Union, I extend an open and honest promise to our allies and friends within the Union: Black Sun will forever stand beside you in the defense of order, peace, and freedom. Family sustains us. Honour drives us. Profit motivates us. We are Black Sun.” Regent Banquo Knox, who returned to government service during Knight’s reign, has also stepped down from the role of second-in-command. Vigo Kira Morbus will take up the mantle under the title of Primogen. Prince Lothbrok steps into the role with a clear mandate and a full slate of active priorities. He is expected to take a direct and hands-on approach to ongoing state projects, many of which he helped shape in his previous roles. With deep operational knowledge across both the industrial and military sectors, he brings not only strategic oversight but also practical experience to the throne. His reign will focus on operational effectiveness. Prince Lothbrok has consistently emphasized results over rhetoric, and those familiar with his leadership style anticipate a disciplined acceleration of key initiatives already underway. The transition may mark a change in leadership, but the work continues without pause under new and focused direction.
- Alliance Takeover of Son-tuul Pirate Strongholdby Knightcrawler on April 30, 2025 at 09:55
Eastern Ploo Sector, Y26 D155 – Seneschal Knightcrawler of The Invid Order revealed during a press conference today that the Alliance has discovered a major source of the Son-tuul Pride’s criminal operations near the Eastern tip of the Ploo sector. The Mon Calamari official went on to explain “Intelligence sources revealed the presence of a particularly large cluster of asteroid fields claimed by the Son-tuul Pride. MM 107+194L, an asteroid field particularly close to Serroco, appeared to be the heart of their criminal activity. Not only were they constructing numerous hidden hangars throughout the field, but they had even started digging their roots into both a small and large planetoid in the field.” Seneschal Knightcrawler revealed numerous images and scans of all local regions, including a recycling and repair station just south of MM 107+194, as well as recent STP frigate movement. The Invid official believes that Shadow Dominion forces planned to use the field as a trap for local pirates and press them into service for Son-Tuul Pride. The Son-tuul pirates had deployed their own extensive sensor network and were active within the region. Despite this, they were none the wiser to the landing of an Alliance strike team. Forces from the Rebel Alliance, Jawa Offworld Enterprises, The Antarian Rangers, The Exchange, and The Invid Order managed to land forces on the larger of the two planetoids. When asked by reporters how this combined strike force managed to infiltrate such a heavily patrolled area, and the value of this liberated pirate base, Seneschal Knightcrawler responded, “They seemed too distracted by Alliance activity in Serroco – where fighter losses had been traded back and forth – to notice the loss of their local crown jewel. Alliance forces neutralized pirates loitering on the Son-tuul planetoid without ever waking up the operators of the nearby Shield Generator. I’ve never been as interested in this side of economics, but I’m told that such a rich asteroid field so close to Serroco would hypothetically be of enormous monetary value.” Knightcrawler further revealed that the seizure also included mineral survey data originally gathered by STP itself. Between that and a factory on the nearby smaller planetoid, he speculated that the field would also have had logistical value to the Shadow Dominion. The concluding statements reinforced the Alliance strike went a long way to subduing the Son-tuul Pride in the Ploo sector, and that the logistical potential of this base now lies with them.
